Brother Sun and Sister Moon surrounds Francis, their light illuminating the starry sky with the wonders of God’s creation!

He opens his hands outstretched and embraces the flora and fauna of Sister Mother Earth. Brother Wind and Sister Water flows through him with their sustenance as Brother Fire provides him warmth. O praise be You, my Lord with all Your creatures!

St Francis in 1225 saw all created things as brothers and sisters because of the common Fatherhood of God.  He was nearly blind at this time, so the question is, which eye saw all things as interconnected?  Am I also ready to awaken this contemplative eye?
